The following video is borrowed from our BusinessTraining.com platform and was originally recorded for our business management training program.  Making mistakes is a part of life and certainly a part of managing a business.  In this video, I explain how you and your team can learn from common business mistakes.

  1. As a new business manager, you may be concerned about making mistakes but at the beginning of your career is the time to make mistakes and learn from them.
  2. The faster that you can move through the conventional stages, the better.
  3. Have a one-pager that has all of the lessons on it.  Every time you go to great conference or read a great book, add it to your one-pager. 
  4. The mistakes that you make as a business manager and the ones that your team make can be seen in the same light.
  5. Do not be afraid to make a mistake, be ready to learn from the occasional mistake that you or a member of your team is bound to make. 

Mistakes are incredibly common in business, even in business management.  Once you accept that mistakes are inevitable, you can start to learn from them and ensure that you do not make them again in the future.  I hope that this video helps you learn from common business mistakes.
