How to Write a Book in 30 Days – Episode #42

by Richard Wilson on July 2, 2011

In this episode Richard Wilson provides specific ways that you can write a book in just 30 days.  Many people go their entire lives without writing a book so if you can master this process, work your face off, and use it within your own business you can create a lot of intellectual capital assets for your business to use for acquiring new customers. Video Transcript/Summary: Books seem like big scary projects to most people and when treated like one, they are right.  You can choose to have four teeth pulled at the dentist once per month or you can do it all at once and get the damn process over with.  That is what I recommend in writing a book, do all of the prep work you need, get an editor, your video bonus content, your graphic design setup upfront and then focus completely on writing your book for one month and it will be done.

I am going through this process right now.  I just sent a book proposal to Wiley yesterday and if it gets approved they will give me 7 months to write the book.  I plan to take one month to line up the interviews needed for the book content and then one more month writing the book and be done.  Sometimes life or business opportunities can get in your way but if you plan to write a book in a month hopefully at worst it will take 3 instead of a 12 month project turning into a 36 month project.   There are more books started every day than are published in a month.

Thanks for joining us, and I will see you again soon,
