  1. Scarcity is the psychological principle that shows that if you go to two different websites that offer the same product, you will be more likely to buy one that is seen as more limited or rare.  
  2.  Have time-based product or service availability.  This will make the product or service more scarce and stimulate demand.  
  3. You can use a discount based on that time-based availability.
  4. Use a unit-based scarcity tactic.  Place a limit on the number of products that are available to consumers so that sales are made faster.
  5. Your scarcity tactic must be based on truth, not a high-pressure tactic.
  6. Explain the reason behind the scarcity.
