by Richard Wilson on August 16, 2011

The following video is borrowed from our BusinessTraining.com platform and was originally recorded for our public relations training program.  Event public relations refers to the public relations work done through events during PR campaigns.  In this video, we will provide you with public relations event planning tips and strategies.

Video Transcript/SummaryThe strategies and tips provided within this video module include:

  1. Event public relations refers to the PR work that is done in connection with an event.  Events can be a very important part of a public relations campaign.
  2. An event will not promote itself, public relations and advertising are still essential for ensuring attendance and coverage of the event.
  3. Event public relations are not a normal business occurrence and can be one of the most important times of the year for a business.
  4. Issue a press release
  5. Send out a media alert.
  6. Utilize social media.
  7. Make sure your event is listed on event calendars.

A successful event can earn a lot of positive attention for a growing business and a failed event can have a severe effect on the business, so it’s important to incorporate public relations in your event planning to make it go as popular and successful as possible.
