by Richard Wilson on August 20, 2011

The following video is borrowed from our BusinessTraining.com platform and was originally recorded for our public relations training program.   The psychological principle of social proof is a powerful idea in business psychology.  In this video, you will see how the principle of social proof can be applied to public relations.

Video Transcript/SummaryThe strategies and tips provided within this video module include:

  1.  Social proof is a psychological principle that if you see someone else doing something you are more likely to do that as well.
  2. Issue a press release showing how high the demand for your product or service is and how popular it is.
  3. Point to other publications and media that have printed articles or stories about your company to show that you are trusted and recommended by these other media outlets.
  4. Apply social proof in as many aspects of your public relations work as possible.
I hope that this quick application of social proof helps you in your public relations.
