Sales Lead Management – Episode #102

The following video is borrowed from our BusinessTraining.com platform and was originally recorded for our sales training program.   In this video, I speak about ways that you can grow your number of sales leads and then manage those leads more effectively.

Video Transcript/Summary: The strategies and tips provided within this video module include:

  1. First, you should look at your current leads and find out what they have in common and how you can attract more leads like them.
  2. Attend conferences, speak with membership associations and look for ways to speak at the conferences that your leads are likely to attend.
  3. Another way to get leads is to work with competitors that have parallel-type products who are open to working with you.
  4. Sell a low-end product such as an e-book, webinar or report that will help you grow the number of new leads you have.
  5. Use a strong system for managing your leads.  At the least, use a spreadsheet to track the important information and any notes for each lead.  Consider a CRM system.

I worked for years in marketing and sales and I quickly learned the importance of sales lead management.  Whether you are using a CRM system or just a Excel spreadsheet, you need a system to track your sales leads.
