The Unpopular Yet #1 Sales Shortcut – Episode #65

by Richard Wilson on July 25, 2011

In this video recorded in Segovia, Spain Richard Wilson explains what he believes is the #1 stand out shortcut in sales.  This is not a popular suggestion however, watch this video to find out what it is.  (Download this Video in MP4 Format)

Video Transcript/Summary: It is “good marketing” to sell prospects candy and slip in the broccoli – the stuff they really need…but I can’t sit here and pretend to be 100% transparent about how I run my business and what it took to be successful if I say it was easy. I can’t talk about 4 hour work weeks, about blogging from the beach for 20 minutes a day, or clicking one button to turn my email list into an easy on-demand cash machine.

The unpopular shortcut to making lots of sales is not a shortcut at all – it is what looks like the longer harder road.  The reason why it ends up being the shortcut after 3 or 5 years of persistent work however is because those who actually buy into those ideas sold as shortcuts or those who take no action will be left in your dust if you keep your head down, stay focused, and implement and take massive action every single day.  Yes, as I mention in this video you do need to get your head out of the weeds and look over the forest from time-to-time to make sure you are headed in the right direction…but most people just don’t work hard enough on daily actions that help them reach their big goals.  That is the ultimate sales shortcut over the long-term, and those who plan for the long-term are successful over the long-term.

Thanks for joining us, and I will see you again soon,
